One of the best things about the holidays is all the sweet treats, isn’t it? For me–it definitely is. I love spending time in the kitchen baking up some treats this time of they year, but what really matters is…time spent with your loved ones. It’s not always feasible to spend hours baking in the kitchen–sometimes you need convenience and that’s why I love Duncan Hines. I have been using Duncan Hines cake mixes for years–especially for cupcakes. They always taste great and are a cinch to prepare! Recently, I learned that Duncan Hines has come out with a few new lines of mixes–one being 100% whole grain muffins! You have no idea how happy it makes me to see companies offering 100% whole grain options–it is so much better for you! Oh and by the way–these Duncan Hines Premium 100% whole grain muffins also have 0 grams trans fat.

Duncan Hines sent me the 100% Whole Grain Apple Cinnamon with Oatmeal Granola Topping Muffin Mix to review and they are moist and delicious. These are delicious served warm in the morning for breakfast, brunch, or even as a sweet after dinner treat. Not as healthy I know, but I have been known to serve muffins warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. YUM. You would never guess that they are made from 100% whole grains–truly. Lucas and Mike love them and that’s saying a lot.

Duncan Hines has been putting out all the stops lately with new products–they also recently introduced a new Snack Size Line and Confetti Cupcakes that you should check out. The Snack Line is essentially portioned cake, brownie, and cookie mixes, featuring Classic Yellow, Devil’s Food, Confetti, and even Chewy Fudge Brownie and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. Instead of making 24 cupcakes, the cake mixes will make 12 cupcakes so you won’t have “extra” sitting around.

The Confetti Cupcakes are ADORABLE and will definitely appeal to kids. Perfect for birthday parties, baby showers, or just some fun, family baking time!
