Baby Genius has a new line of developmental, role play toys that I am so excited to tell you about. Baby Genius has combined all of its lovable characters and music into a line of fun, new toys that are specially designed to help your child grow, develop, and learn. The new line of 24 Baby Genius toys is manufactured by master toy manufacturer Battat. Impressive, huh? I had the chance to test out four of the new toys from Baby Genius: the Adventure Train set, the Musical Vacuum, the Pet Care Center, and the All-in-One Musical Band. Out of all the new toy lines, I have come across in the past year–these Baby Genius toys are among my favorites. They offer both children and parents so much. Fun. Imagination. Music appreciation. Learning. Role play. Affordability.

First up is the Adventure Train, which is a cute train set perfect for smaller hands to assemble.

The track parts are interchangeable so children can use their imagination to create their very own track. This is a kid-powered train so kids push the train around the track and at the same time–their imaginations are hard at work–thinking up the train’s destination, the train’s speed, stops, starts, etc. When toys are battery powered and move on their own–nothing is left to the imagination. It just moves and the child watches. Not a great way for kids to learn and grow. This train set–although simple–will get your child’s imagination moving!

The Musical Vacuum is one of Lucas’ favorites.

If you follow my blog, you know that he loves to clean so naturally this vacuum is a hit! As the vacuum is pushed, it lights up and plays Mozart so kids can have fun while they clean! Kids love to model mom and dad so this is a toy that just about every child will love!

The Pet Care Center is probably my favorite.

It is this adorable pet carrier, which comes with Melody the Dog and 7 different vet accessories inside to help your child care for their new pet. It comes with a stethoscope, a toy syringe, an otoscope (the device doctors use to look in your ears and nose), toy scissors, a food bowl and pretend dog food. Melody’s theme music even plays when the carrier is opened.

The All-in-One Musical Band is must-have for every child!

It’s all the favorite Baby Genius characters in the form of instruments that your child can use to compose their own music. The set comes with a tambourine, two maracas, a flute, and a drum with two drumsticks. All the instruments store neatly away inside the drum. Lucas, like all kids, loves making music so this is a huge hit with him! What surprised me about this band set is that the instruments are actually pretty good quality-wise. I mean–don’t misunderstand–they are toys, but they produce a really nice sound. Love these!

What really impresses me about Baby Genius toys is that they are not complex, but actually rather simple. They are specifically designed to engage kids through the power of music and encourage imaginative play. Moms know that less is usually more and that is definitely the case when it comes to toys. Bravo Baby Genius. You got it right.
