Holgate Toys: Making America’s Finest Toys Since 1789 {Review & Giveaway}
I recently was introduced to Holgate Toys and it’s been a long time that I’ve read about a company so rich in American history. This story of Holgate Toys is one worth knowing! We have all heard of Norman Rockwell {love his artwork}, well–his brother–Jarvis Rockwell was Holgate’s chief toy designer in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Jarvis Rockwell’s concern for safety, durability and educational play earned him recognition as the premier toy designer during this period. Since 1789, generations have trusted Holgate for safe, high quality, educational toys, made exclusively in the U.S.A. Their customer service is unparalleled–they even provide a lifetime guarantee on their toys. AMAZING!

Holgate Toys sent Lucas a couple of toys for me to review and i have to say that I now know why they are so highly acclaimed. Because it is true. One of the toys we received are the Jumbo Lacing Beads and Shapes. They have 17 bright and colorful hardwood beads with two 28″ laces. Lacing beads are, of course, a classic, educational toy. Kids love them though! As soon as we received these, Lucas literally tore the box open and started playing with them.

Holgate Toys also sent us the I Can Make Stuff Shoe Box Craft Kit.

This box is brimming with tons of craft supplies providing hours of fun for children. The kit comes with:
* 50 Pom-Poms in assorted sizes and colors (assortments may vary)
* 20 Wiggle Eyes
* 10 Craft Buttons
* 8 Chenille/Craft Stems
* 1/2 Egg Carton
* 15 Cardboard Cirles
* 1 Craft (Paper) Bag
* 2 Clothes Pins
* Yarn
* 10 Craft Pasta Shape (assorted- not intended for consumption)
* 4 Craft Sticks
* 2 Tipped Yarn Laces
* 2 Lacing Cards
* 15 Magic Nuudles TM
* 80 Pony Beads
* 2 Yards of Pony Bead Lacing
* 1 Split Key Ring
* 1 Bundle of Twisted Paper
* 20 Craft Straws
* 4 Foam Squares
* 1 Jumbo Pom-Pom Maker
* Project Idea Booklet
* Reuseable Shoebox Storage Container
It all comes packed neatly in a plastic container. What I love about this craft kit is that it provides a little of everything, which allows kids to experiment with different crafts and projects without getting bored. It’s a practical kit to have on hand for a rainy or snowy day. Plus, it comes with a booklet filled with project ideas and instructions.

Want It: I Can Make Stuff Shoe Box Craft Kit retails for $12 and the Jumbo Lacing Beads retail for $20.
